Good afternoon guys. Christmas has arrived in our household! I spent a good two hours faffing with baubles and branch placements all whilst listening to a classic Christmas playlist and loved every second of it. I have to admit, the tree still isn’t finished yet as I am waiting on a couple more pieces but here it is – our first Christmas tree in our home together and I couldn’t be more pleased.
If you follow me on Instagram, you would have seen that I have been sharing Pinterest boards of ideas for over a month now. I knew I wanted a natural and Scandi looking tree so I chose shades of green, brown, cream and some deep golds. I also found so many gorgeous trees with bases so I found this one on Amazon which is collapsible – perfect for a small home like ours with little storage space.
Let’s get onto the baubles. The filler baubles were from John Lewis, Cox & Cox and Tesco. The pine cones were from Amazon. I ordered a special bauble this year for our first Christmas with Atticus. This was handmade by TheAmyverse who I found over on Etsy. Harriet from Harrietscornishcraft sent me a gorgeous macrame decoration (pr product) and I kept two baubles from my best friends wedding last year with gorgeous feathers in. I picked up some Scandi style decorations from The Range too on a press trip in October.
I am waiting on some cinnamon sticks and dried oranges for wrapping and I want to pop a few of those on the tree also. It might not work but I fancy giving it a go. Finally, I bought some sticks which make our faux tree smell real from Scentsicles and we went for the Christmas Tree scent. I would definitely recommend these for those who have an artificial tree as these make the tree smell incredible. The second I walk through the door it smells like Christmas.
Our new sofas to arrive on Monday which we are very excited about. We can’t wait to have our living space complete for our first Christmas together in our house.
Have a lovely afternoon x
