April Favourites

Happy bank holiday weekend and I hope that you have all had a good week. It’s time for a monthly favourites post and this month it’s all about skincare and home furnishings. *Some products have been gifted.

These two Dermalogica products have been firm favourites this month. I am always so grateful to Dermalogica who send me their new products as a #skinfluencer – thank you! I mentioned the ‘Powerbright Dark Spot Serum’ last month but I couldn’t give it a full review as I had only just started using it. After using this for about two months, I have been really impressed with the results. I had some darker spots on my skin from scarring and pigmentation and using this serum has definitely faded some of those areas. Such a great product 🙌🏼

The second product that has made the favourites list from Dermalogica was sent to me a couple of weeks ago and is the ‘Melting Moisture Masque’. I get quite dry skin from time to time and a tiny amount of this keeps my skin feeling so hydrated for hours. The product turns from a balm to oil upon application and just melts into your skin. I would even go as far as saying that this is one of my favourite Dermalogica products of all time! This is definitely worth checking out if you want something deeply nourishing and rehydrating.

Origins Ginzing range has been a go-to for me for the past five or six months. I don’t like to really wear makeup in the summer months so this tinted moisturiser is perfect and has SPF40. I have also switched out my concealer for under my eyes for this eye cream which has made my daily makeup routine a lot quicker. It brightens and refreshes and no creases!

I used to be really into doing my brows and then couldn’t be bothered with how long it all took. Anyone else go through that phase? I hadn’t used anything on them for years until I found this organic product by Lavera on Amazon. It is a clear styling gel which I apply and brush through in an upwards motion to give the appearance of thicker brows. Now I use this every day and it takes seconds.

The final skincare/makeup product on the favourites list this month is the ‘Ride or Die’ lip balm from Elf in shade peach. A little goes a long way and it is such a gorgeous colour.

If you follow me on Instagram, you will know how much I love interiors and home styling. I was on the hunt for the perfect cushion covers for spring and summer and found this gorgeous lemon print from Dunelm along with a block blue colour and this French Toile De Jouy design on eBay. When put together, all of the designs worked perfectly with the striped Vinegar Hill cushions.

Finally, I wanted to touch on some of my favourite ceramic pieces for this month. I have always loved blue and white ceramics but was never bold enough to bring them into my home until I saw it so beautifully done over on Instagram. I trawled Ebay and found the two small vases and the candlestick holder and then saw this gorgeous plant pot on Amazon. I love how these pieces stand out in my home yet still work with the more neutral and green tones.

I hope that you all have a fantastic long weekend and enjoy the breaks in the weather. Fingers crossed for some sun!
