Dresses and Kicks

Good morning everyone and happy Sunday! Who else is sick of this rain? I just want to get outside in my garden and wear all of my summer dresses! Talking of dresses, I thought I would do a blog post featuring some of my favourite new in dresses from high street brands and also my top pick of sneakers to wear with them. *This blog features some pr products but no affiliate links.

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have already seen these outfits. Left to right – shirt dress from Crew Clothing (pr), Diana midi dress from Phase Eight (pr) and floral tie waist dress from H&M. I paired the Pearl trainers from Ravel (pr) with all of these looks. You can shop them here. What I love about midi dresses and sneakers is that you feel dressed up yet casual and relaxed.

Here are a few summer dresses I am loving at the moment and have my eye on. I don’t really like getting my arms out and try to avoid really strappy designs but some of these are gorgeous. (I am cheating on fashion with interiors at the moment and I am also mindful of how many dresses one person really needs. I am super lucky to work with brands and will perhaps only buy one dress every other month – if that!)

These are all from HM. HM is definitely one of my go-to places to look for clothes. I thought these two strappy dresses were so lovely for the summer and this linen shirt dress is perfect for those days in the garden. I would wear trainers will all of these styles of dresses.

I have recently worked with Boden on some content and I just had to mention their trainers. They are one of my favourite places to look for sneakers which would look great with dresses. Left to right – Freya low top Toucan style, Maria comfort white/multi stripe and Hazel trainers in surf blue.

Before this year, I had never worn sneakers with dresses. Now I wouldn’t wear anything else in the spring and on those cooler days in the summer. They are versatile, comfy and can be paired with any print or pattern. I never knew what to wear on my feet in spring and summer and I wasn’t very confident about this look – hopefully if you feel the same, this blog has given you a little bit of inspiration.

Have a good Sunday x
