Happy Blue Monday! Apparently this is the most Monday-est Monday in the whole year. Who is feeling it? Guys, the countdown to the wedding is well and truly on! I can’t believe we tie the knot in May. I’ve been getting stuck in to some wedmin and I’m feeling super organised however I’m already having those ‘what if’ questions that pop into my head at 3am! I’ve been listening to the Nearlyweds podcast with Jamie Laing and Sophie Haboo to make me feel better – it is such a good podcast if you’re engaged and planning your wedding.
I thought I would share some snaps of little corners of our home and how they have been updated recently.

Our bedroom has had a little refresh after Christmas with some fresh bedding & new prints. I completed this gallery wall just before Christmas and I am so pleased with it. Prints are from Desenio and some are part of previous collaborations with Junique too who I work with quite a lot and would always highly recommend. The scalloped edge bedding is from Habitat and was in the sale just last week. The gingham pillow cases are from Dunelm and the huge 60×60 cushions are H&M – they are perfect for extra propping up when reading a good book. I’m also loving this baby blue colour at the moment so I couldn’t resist these spiral candles also from H&M. *I’m just waiting on my decorative cushion covers from Mango to arrive & then I’ll share the final bedroom zhuzh over on my Instagram.

In our open plan living space I had a little change around of art work again; the wine bottles, the lady (love this!) & the big pink flower print are all from Desenio. The gorgeous print on our new shelves is from Joanna Slater *here is her Instagram profile. I just adore her art work. These shelves were a spare of the moment decision after Christmas as this has always been dead space. We’ve tried everything from artwork to mirrors and we wanted a bit more storage for books and trinkets. The shelves are from Homebase and the brackets are from Wickes. The corner cost us around £40 which isn’t a change that broke the bank but makes a huge difference to the room. The lamp is H&M and the decorative ornaments are from Homesense, eBay and IKEA.
Like I mentioned in my intentions blog post at the beginning of January, it isn’t reasonable and realistic for us to make huge changes every month in our home so these updates are here to stay. Instagram is full of beautiful homes that have gorgeous corners which I can only one day dream of having. Trying to compete with others in a space where everyone’s homes are different is just not for me. I have a small home with the same corners so I’ll do my best with what I have & hopefully you’ll want to stick around.
If you don’t already follow me on Instagram, I’d love to have you 💓
