August Favourites

Good afternoon everyone and happy Wednesday. It’s time for this month’s favourites. I can’t believe how quickly this month has gone. I will be back in the full swing of teaching in no time at all! As always, some items mentioned in this blog post are gifted and will be marked with a *

Let’s start with a couple of beauty products and a new moisturiser from Dermalogica*.

I am not wearing my mask as frequently as I was before my second vaccine so I am now wearing lipstick again! I found this liner and lipstick on Amazon from KIKO for great affordable prices and I love the shades for autumn. This is their ‘Smart Fusion Lipstick’ in shade 405 and the liner is shade 303. The liner is a little darker than the lipstick so you do have to make sure you blend it in with a gloss or a balm. They last well on your lips and I love the darker shade for the colder months to come.

Dermalogica kindly sent me their new product as a #skinfluener and I have been using it for a week or so now. Their new ‘Biolumin C-Gel Moisturizer’ does exactly what it says it does. On the first application, my skin looked radiant, glowing and felt amazing. I mix a drop into my tinted cc serum as part of my daily makeup routine too which gives me that weightless glowy base. I am really going to enjoy using this in autumn to maintain that holiday-like glowing skin.

Over the summer holidays I have really let me nails grow out as during term time I normally completely neglect them! I found some really gorgeous floral stickers on Amazon which you apply using tweezers and seal with a clear topcoat. I always put on a nail strengthener before I do anything else and this helps encourage growth and prevents breakage. I used the cherry blossom stickers for this manicure but there are so many to choose from in the pack I picked up – sunflowers, purple flowers, black and white flowers. It does take a bit of time and patience let me tell you but my nails feel fresh and it’s just a bit of fun.

Next up are some new additions to the master bedroom. I was so lucky to work with two beautiful interiors brands this month – Cotswold Grey* and Champagne & Ginger*. I was gifted this elm stool and blue cashmere throw from Cotswold Grey and then these belly baskets from Champagne & Ginger. They work so well together and make our bedroom feel cosy and ready for the new season.

Finally, I wanted to mention ‘The Midnight Library’ again by Matt Haig. It has been such a joy to read and I couldn’t recommend it more. If you haven’t read it, you need to!

Have a lovely day guys and I’ll be back on the blog next week with an autumn fashion post so turn on email notifications if you don’t want to miss that.

Dresses and Kicks

Good morning everyone and happy Sunday! Who else is sick of this rain? I just want to get outside in my garden and wear all of my summer dresses! Talking of dresses, I thought I would do a blog post featuring some of my favourite new in dresses from high street brands and also my top pick of sneakers to wear with them. *This blog features some pr products but no affiliate links.

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have already seen these outfits. Left to right – shirt dress from Crew Clothing (pr), Diana midi dress from Phase Eight (pr) and floral tie waist dress from H&M. I paired the Pearl trainers from Ravel (pr) with all of these looks. You can shop them here. What I love about midi dresses and sneakers is that you feel dressed up yet casual and relaxed.

Here are a few summer dresses I am loving at the moment and have my eye on. I don’t really like getting my arms out and try to avoid really strappy designs but some of these are gorgeous. (I am cheating on fashion with interiors at the moment and I am also mindful of how many dresses one person really needs. I am super lucky to work with brands and will perhaps only buy one dress every other month – if that!)

These are all from HM. HM is definitely one of my go-to places to look for clothes. I thought these two strappy dresses were so lovely for the summer and this linen shirt dress is perfect for those days in the garden. I would wear trainers will all of these styles of dresses.

I have recently worked with Boden on some content and I just had to mention their trainers. They are one of my favourite places to look for sneakers which would look great with dresses. Left to right – Freya low top Toucan style, Maria comfort white/multi stripe and Hazel trainers in surf blue.

Before this year, I had never worn sneakers with dresses. Now I wouldn’t wear anything else in the spring and on those cooler days in the summer. They are versatile, comfy and can be paired with any print or pattern. I never knew what to wear on my feet in spring and summer and I wasn’t very confident about this look – hopefully if you feel the same, this blog has given you a little bit of inspiration.

Have a good Sunday x

Lounging Around

Good evening guys. I am just signing off on all the work I have done for school today and I signing into social media. I can’t believe how many of you loved the Pinterest style board of the loungewear I shared this morning on my stories! I have had about ten messages today asking me if I had any recommendations for loungewear and let me tell you…I most certainly do.

I will start with a set that was kindly gifted to me from Pretty You London. Made from bamboo, these pyjamas are so soft, hypoallergenic, anti-bacterial, breathable, eco-friendly and thermoregulating. The style is so classic! I just need a hotel room to go with these pyjamas!

Next up is this set from Next. I love everything about this loungewear set from the print to the fabric and the fit. I went for a size 10 as I like my loungewear to be cosy and comfortable. I was very surprised to see some reviews were saying the top was too baggy. For me, they fit perfectly and I love a bit more room. This gorgeous dark green really compliments the blush pink undertones and I was instantly drawn to the design. Super gorgeous!

Now from two sets I actually own to a couple I have been eyeing up potentially for Christmas….(Mr RV, did you hear that?)

Top left is a tracksuit set from Misguided and I am just obsessed with sage green at the moment. You can shop the set here

Bottom left is a gorgeous Pieces lounge set in tan. I have never been a huge fan of neutrals but recently I have really been loving them. Here is where you can shop the look:

Finally, my favourite set I NEED to get my hands on is this gorgeous pink set from Monsoon. I just have no words. Isn’t it stunning?

I hope that this blog has given you guys some inspiration! *None of these links are affiliate links. They are just me sharing with you what I am loving at the moment.

Have a good evening X
